External Wall Fire Review

The EWS1: External Wall Fire Review form has been endorsed by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Building Societies Association (BSA) and it is a process for the building owners to demonstrate the building is found to have no combustible materials. As part of this new methodology, a qualified fire engineering specialist will review and assess the cladding in order conclude if the building meet the Building Regulators or whether remediation works are required. The signed EWS1 form is valid for five years and lenders can use this signed form to provide a valuation.
